The physical examination is the foundation of all medical workups. A thorough, systematic exam becomes even more critical where ancillary diagnostic options are limited. In this session, I will present a topographical technique in ruminants that is both time-efficient and ensures a thorough exam. A bovine model is used with references to other ruminant species.the procedure is detailed with step-by-step video including regional anesthesia, surgery, and bandaging. Finally, photos of each healing phase are included to facilitate patient monitoring.
